What you need to know about pending transactions.
Sometimes, transactions on the Ethereum with lower gas fees take longer to process. This is because orders with higher gas fees typically take miners' priority. The speed of a transaction can depend on the network you’re using to trade as well. For example, on average, a transaction on the Ethereum network (ERC20) will take somewhere between a few seconds to 10 minutes to get confirmed.
What you need to know about speeding up transactions.
The best way to check on your transaction is via the block explorer for the network you’re using to trade on. But, you can speed up transactions straight from MetaMask too.
How to speed up a pending transaction on mobile:
- Open up the MetaMask app on your phone, click the “Activity” button and look for your most recent transaction.
- Click on the transaction you wish to speed up, and click the “Speed Up” button. This will allow you to re-submit the same transaction, but with a higher gas fee that should allow the transaction to be processed faster.
Important note: you’ll have to pay gas fees again for speeding up your transaction. This is because it involves re-submitting a transaction, and this can only be done once the original is canceled.
